JB and I went to Maine a couple of years ago for the first time. We were in New Hampshire and JB realized how close we were to Maine and asked if I wanted to go. Of course I said YES!!! After that I was hooked... I LOVE MAINE!!!
JB and I loved Portland Head Lighthouse in Portland, Maine so much so that we have decided that is where we want to get married on May 15th, 2002. Portland Head Lighthouse was by far my favorite Maine Lighthouse.

Directions to Portland Head Light - From 295 in Portland, take Route 77 South to South Portland. Go left on Broadway, then right on Cottage Road. Cottage Road becomes Shore Road at Cape Elizabeth town line.
Approaching from the south, take Route 1 North to Oak Hill in Scarborough. Go right on Route 207, then left on Route 77 North to Cape Elizabeth. Turn right at the blinker on to Shore Road. Portland Head Light is located in Fort Williams Park, 1000 Shore Road.
Other Maine Lighthouses that we have seen were:
Cape Neddick "The Nubble" Light - York Beach
Cape Elizabeth "Two Lights" - Cape Elizabeth
Bass Harbor Head Light - Mount Desert Island
Egg Rock - Acadia National Park
Marshall Point Light - Port Clyde Harbor Entrance
Pemaquid Point Light - Muscongus Bay Entrance
Portland Breakwater Light "Bug Light" - Portland Harbor
Spring Point Ledge Light - Portland Harbor
Wood Island Light - Biddeford Pool
So as you can see... we have TONS more of lighthouses to see just in Maine alone!! I am hoping that while we are up there next year for our wedding that we will be able to see some more. Here are a couple pics of the ones that we have seen so far:
"Bug Light" Spring Point Pemaquid
